The masterful realist paintings of George Nick are on view in the solo exhibition George Nick: The Edge of the Road at the Noyes Museum of Art from 1/20/12-5/27/12. Nick's handling of paint is "lively and luscious, veering from crisply detailed strokes to broad swaths of color. His subject matter ranges from vintage automobiles to Back Bay street scenes painted with an exuberant naturalism. Tai Chi Chih is a series of gentle movements that stimulate, circulate and balance internal energy ("Qi"). A 6 week program designed to instruct students in the movements that comprise the practice of Tai Chi.
Paul F. Pickens is a College Certified Instructor of the Chinese Healing Arts, Tai Chi and Chi Kung. Paul began his study of Tai Chi In the 1980's leading to his life long dream of studying the internal healing arts. Paul has been fortunate to study with many amazing teachers through the years, culminating with his current teacher of 10 years, Grandmaster Sunyata Saraswati. He is known for his friendly teaching style, and his passion for helping students learn the arts in order to enhance the vitality of their life and reduce stress in the process.
Tibetan White Crane Tai Chi is an ancient and gentle method of rejuvenation exercise from the Wu Chi Tao Temple (Hong Kong). These forms where taught to the high Lamas for their health and longevity. These forms were passed down to Sunyata Saraswati (Tien Lung) by the Tibetan nun Nui Mai Tsue in the 1970s, because of his spiritual development at the Wu Chi Tao Temple. Paul learned White Crane Tai Chi directly from Master Sunyata Saraswati.

Keynote presenters John Russo and Seth Resnick will inspire, amaze and enlighten – helping photographers of any specialty sharpen their skills and expand their point of view. The event will be an in-depth investigation of technique, craft, business and the state of the industry. And it is a terrific opportunity to network with the best and brightest professional photographers from all over the region.
John Russo is among Hollywood's most sought-after photographers. He has trained his lens on giants such as Jeff Bridges, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Will Smith, Sophia Loren, George Clooney and many others. His images are often seen on the covers of top magazines. He has two books of portraits, About Face and 100 Making a Difference. A native of Ventnor, N.J., he is a graduate of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and lives in Beverly Hills and Montecito, Calif.
Seth Resnick is one of North America's most respected photographers. His work been published in 2,500 prestigious publications, including National Geographic. A co-founder of D-65, the educational resource for digital photography, he also consults to manufacturers, software developers and agencies. He is a Photo District News Most Influential Photographer, a Canon Explorer of Light, a member of X-rite Colorati and a consultant to Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. He teaches and lectures around the world.

Our museum gallery will be bursting with blooming colors as several area garden clubs interpret the works by Lance Balderson in the exhibition Abstractions using flowers, plants and other natural materials in individual and unique floral arrangements.

Floral design workshop Learn the principals & elements of design, how to select your container and flowers and how to make flowers last longer. Class will include floral materials and a vase. Instructor Deirdre Gross is a floral designer & Federated Master Judge, a member of Creative Floral Arrangers, Sogetsu, & numerous local floral design groups. She has earned top awards in the Philadelphia Flower Show, World Flower Show (Washington, D.C.) & is a recipient of the Helen Hull Award (Flower Arranger of the Year Award). Parents and children will delight in a magical afternoon filled with Alice inspired art making, including "painting roses red," tea cup decorating, hat making, story time, games and more. Let the accomplished professional violist Yoon Yon transport you into the moving, melodic & dramatic musical realm of Bach. Yon is an active orchestral & chamber musician, a soloist and a principal violist with the New Jersey Philharmonic Orchestra, Siena Chamber Orchestra, and Korean Chamber Orchestra. Yon has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Russia. He has participated in many music festivals including the Internationale Sommer Akademie Mozarteum in Salzburg and the International Moscow Conservatory in Russia, on full scholarships. Yon made his New York debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall as a winner of Artist International. A great Mother's Day treat!

Withdrawal and Refund Policy:
- Withdrawals more than 3 weeks in advance will receive a full refund minus 10%.
- Withdrawals between 3 weeks - 1 week in advance will receive a refund of 50%.
- Withdrawals 1 week or less in advance will receive no refund.
- If the Noyes cancels a class, a full refund will be given.
